![]() ![]() PS and since folks are already just skimming through what i painstakingly typed out to make sure all were properly informed. my screen is black only when windows boots up.i tried starting in safe mode and it froze up.so that's the very issue.is i can't get windows booted up (rather if i can, i can't see because of the ati driver issue, which that's next on my list to see if can download that, but don't know how i'll install it if it too has to be installed through windows 7 which i at least can't see as of now. K that's what i though, but if you guys go back and read the issue, how can i do that. Thanks in advance to my soon to be hero/heroine!!! :-D That problem was/is that when windows has completed booting, the monitor is black.not, "off", it's backlit, but just black as if brightness turned down or something.this could be something that maybe a restart in "blah blah" mode might help me fix? or perhaps a download for a driver?, etc.any help, an ideas or suggestions would be very greatly appreciated!!!! Especially now at the late/very early hour. Just used bootcamp to create a single windows partition on a 500GB hard drive.installed windows 7 pro successfully, monitor, keyboard, and mouse working fine throughout installation.UNTIL actual start up of windows.then had the same problem that was one of the reasons that led me to upgrade to 7 to begin with.and that is that my apple cinema display as per the system profiler: ![]()
